Liability Claims Advisor

Job Summary

As a member of the National Liability Claims Team, you will work closely with Zurich’s key stakeholders, to proactively manage a national portfolio of liability claims. You will combine strong market facing communication skills, product knowledge, tactical and strategic Broker / Customer engagement, as well as your ability to influence at all levels both internally and externally. 

Job Accountabilities

  • Proactively manage liability claims within your levels of delegated authority;
  • Develop strong relationships with your customers;
  • Attend external meetings / conferences / views / court appearances etc;
  • Participate in monthly team meetings and contribute to, and implement continuous improvement strategies;
  • Support the implementation of key initiatives and programs to improve efficiency and expertise in the Liability Team;
  • Achieve individual and team KPI’s. For example, closure rates, reopened ratio, recovery and fraud targets etc.

Job Qualifications

  • Relevant Insurance or Business Degree and/or Recognised ANZIFF Qualification (preferred)
  • Claims management experience required and Liability Claims experience held in high regard.

Business Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Claims Advisors, Senior Claims Advisors, Senior Claims Specialists, Team Leaders and Claims Team Managers;
  • Develop relationships with internal colleagues including Underwriting, Distribution and Proposition; 
  • Nurture relationships with Brokers and Customers by understanding their requirements and delivery the claims and customer care service they require;
  • Work closely with our approved Panel of Service Providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for both our customers and Zurich.
