Zurich’s ANZ business has three core segments Retail, Group Insurance and General Insurance who have end-to end accountabilities to better serve their customers. They are enabled by Shared Services teams that have a large portfolio of responsibilities. Technology (IT), Sustainability, Agile & Continuous Improvement and Strategy & Strategic Execution form a portfolio. 

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Execusion, the Retail Life Insurance Delivery Manager ensures efficient delivery within a business segment by driving teams towards delivery objectives, mitigating risks, managing dependencies and fostering collaboration across squads and crews, and/or enterprise shared service function.

You will own the segment delivery plan, including timelines, deliverables and milestones and relevant tracking, reporting and delivery insights. By fostering an environment of continuous improvement, feedback, and team empowerment, the Segment Delivery Manager significantly contributes to the overall success of our organisation, aligned with the Zurich Way, our Agile and Value Driven Delivery framework.

In order to be successful in the role, you will have the following:

• Tertiary qualifications including certified Scrum Master
• Understanding of and application of Agile methodologies, tools and techniques at scale.
• Understanding of Product Management with Agile
• Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in using delivery management tools (according to CI/CD and DevSecOps best practise) with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bamboo and Bitbucket.
• Highly proficient in independent issue resolution and innovative problem-solving, with strong leadership skills and the ability to proactively manage expectations for delivery success.
• Demonstrated ability to consolidate and coordinate team delivery plans using agile practices and mindsets. Knowledgeable in information management practices, system development life cycle, IT services, and agile/lean methodologies.
• Experience working within enterprise level digital transformation
• Experience in managing and coordinating software release cycles (preferred)
