Marketing Internship - Omaha (Summer 2025)
Zurich is currently looking for a Marketing and Communications Intern to work out of our Omaha, Nebraska office for the summer of 2025.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to join the dynamic Zurich Direct Markets Marketing & Communications team, where you'll play a crucial role in crafting and implementing compelling go-to-market strategies for specific industries. Your focus will be on elevating brand awareness and consideration through comprehensive competitive analysis, covering various aspects such as lines of business, company positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
As an intern, you won't just be a bystander; you'll be immersed in a diverse range of projects that promise a well-rounded experience. From delving into the world of social media to contributing to external communications and sales and marketing efforts, you'll gain invaluable insights. Engaging with key stakeholders in various meetings will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the intricate communications and planning processes.
This internship is designed not only to enhance your marketing and communications skills, but also to expose you to the myriad opportunities within the insurance industry and prepare you for the next phase of your career. Projects you will work on:
- Print and digital advertising
- Social media campaigns
- Website content enhancement
- Tradeshow marketing initiatives
- Development of digital marketing assets for dealership use
- Assist in the development of a variety of content including articles, emails, newsletters, magazines, and more.
Development opportunities include:
Strategy & Research
- Competitor trends, including web and social
- Best practices in related industry and product offerings
- Identification of complimentary third-party content
Content Strategy, SEO/SEM, Writing
- Presentation development
- Industry newsletter development
- Social media analysis
- Paid and organic SEO strategy and implementation
Product Marketing/industry vertical segmentation
- Digital campaign development
- Develop content contact journeys
- Develop thought leadership
Basic Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree program and will be enrolled in the upcoming 2025 fall semester
- Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
- Be legally eligible to work in the U.S. indefinitely
- Microsoft Office experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment
- Possesses strong copywriting and editing skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and SharePoint
- Excellent communication skills
- Presentation Skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
