Actuarial Analyst II, Technical Execution


Zurich North America is looking for an Actuarial Analyst II to join the Technical Execution team based at our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.


This Actuarial Analyst II role, as a part of the Technical Execution team, will be responsible for supporting Zurich’s Special Lines of Business (LoB) that includes Surety (Contract and Commercial), Crop, Accident & Health (A&H), and Credit & Political Risk as well as Zurich’s Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) business. Previous experience with these lines of business is not required.


Zurich’s Technical Execution team is a key player in all aspects of Finance Actuarial work products, with particular focus on reserve analysis, regulatory reporting, financial close (monthly, quarterly, and yearly), and rate monitoring.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Successful completion of 5 or more actuarial exams (applicable to FCAS designation or equivalent international certification) with 2 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area
  • Successful completion of 3 or more actuarial exams (applicable to FCAS designation or equivalent international certification) with 3 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area


Preferred Qualifications:


  • ACAS or close to attaining your ACAS and on your way to your FCAS
  • Strong programming skills with knowledge and experience with VBA, SQL, R, SAS, and/or Python
  • Property & Casualty insurance experience
  • Commercial insurance experience
