Zurich North America’s Apprentice Program 

The first in our industry to be certified by the U.S. Department of Labor 

 

Zurich is accepting resumes for our 2025 Bachelor Apprentice Program! The program is scheduled to start in January 2025, but please apply now for consideration.    

 

Our pilot innovative Regulatory Compliance ApprenticeProgram allows participants to simultaneously gain the education and the experience to launch a rewarding career in insurance.  

 

Zurich’s initiative is to develop a new generation of workers to help the U.S. succeed in the 21st century economy.  

 

This two-yearprogram combines targetedonlinecoursework at University of Arizona Global Campus with relevant work rotations at our North American Headquarters located in Schaumburg, IL.
 

In our local office you will be working on the Regulatory Compliance Team:

 

With supervision candidates will work within our Regulatory Compliance team to learn data analytics in regards to compliance for our North America offices.

 

Responsibilities can include:

  • Assisting with the creation of reporting, planning and other Group related requirements as assigned
  • Learning to troubleshoot and train for related softwares, ie Cosmos Admin
  • Creation and maintenance of PowerBI and SharePoint sites
  • Supporting various teams across the department with data analytics
  • Automation opportunities to support the Compliance business function

 

Apprentices who successfully complete this two-year program will: 

  • Work in a paid, benefit-eligible full-time position at Zurich 
  • Earn a tuition-free Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • Receive a Department of Labor Certificate of Apprenticeship 
  • Possess credentials and skills for today’s ever-changing marketplace  

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Associate Degree in Business or rising Junior with two years of coursework in Business Administration or related and no prior years of experience in the Insurance area. Contingent on admittance into University of Arizona Global Campus Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration program. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in the insurance industry
  • 2 or more years of work experience and/or leadership role in student activities or community service activities
  • Intermediate computer skills, especially Excel
  • Interest in data analytics 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a changing environment
  • Critical thinking skills
