Business Systems Analyst II
Zurich is currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst II to work as a key member of the Information Technology team supporting our Application Delivery unit out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
The Business Systems Analyst will serve as a liaison between the Business and IT in providing solutions to their business systems needs and will understand customers’ objectives, processes, and products as well as the business systems capabilities to formulate, define, document and implement systems scope and objectives to develop and provides solutions.
In addition, as a key member of the Application Delivery unit, the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for documenting the technical requirements for various data management projects and other related changes

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 5 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
OR -
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
AND -
Process reengineering, e.g. LEAN/Six Sigma, Continuous improvement methodologies

Process modeling tools
-
Business systems integration
Preferred Qualifications:

Technical acumen and data analysis skills

Technical documentation experience

Ability to work within guidance on medium to large-scale projects

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) preferred

Experience in understanding and applying various delivery approaches (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, Scrum)

Experience in an analytical role on complex enterprise projects
-
Consultative experience preferred
-
Knowledge of insurance industry business processes and processing
-
Experience in working on enhancements or developing Claims systems
-
Good written and verbal communication skills
-
Advanced negotiation skills
-
Experience with collaborating across many teams

Analytical and problem-solving skills
