Business Systems Analyst II or III
Zurich North America is currently hiring a Business Systems Analyst III working out of our Schaumburg, IL North America Headquarters supporting our claims business.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate requirement sessions, elicit, elaborate, and document business requirements and user stories.
- Analyze and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with Design and Architectural decisions.
- Should be familiar in creating Business process flows, data flow artifacts.
- Guide users in building business case and perform impact analysis.
- Work closely with product owner and assist with backlog prioritization and management.
- Work closely with the architects and development teams to design robust and scalable systems that meet the requirements, analyze and document impact of proposed technology to existing architecture and communicate any potential risks.
- Use data query tools to perform data analysis and validation.
- Support application and integration testing, implementation, and training activities throughout the process to ensure original requirements are met, assists quality assurance with the creation and execution of acceptance testing as needed.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project progress and outcomes.
- Supports post-implementation activities, support the analysis to identify root cause and problem solving.
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
AND
- Process reengineering; LEAN/Six Sigma experience
- Experience with process modeling tools.
- Insurance application system design/analysis experience
- Experience with use case development.
- Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools/techniques.
Preferred:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of claims insurance business processes highly preferred
- Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with SQL querying
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office
- Experience modeling business processes using Visio.
- Relevant certifications in Business Analysis or related field are a plus.
- Agile Certification – CSM, CPO etc. are a plus.
