Business Systems Analyst III

Zurich North America is currently hiring a Business Systems Analyst III working out of our Schaumburg, IL North America Headquarters.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements. 
  • Analyze and interpret business needs into functional and non-functional specifications. 
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions. 
  • Evaluate current business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Develop and propose process optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Facilitate implementation of process changes, ensuring alignment with business objectives. 
  • Coordinate with project teams, including IT, development, and testing teams, to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly. 
  • Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and test plans. Maintain and update documentation throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and other stakeholders. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather input and feedback. 
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate with users to validate functionality. 
  • Identify and facilitate resolution of defects and issues during the testing phase. 
  • Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes as required. 
  • Assist in developing training materials and user guides to assist in the adoption of new solutions. 
  • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting as required for implemented systems and processes. 

 

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area

       OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area

       AND

  • Process reengineering; LEAN/Six Sigma experience
  • Experience with process modeling tools
  • Insurance application system design/analysis experience
  • Experience with use case development
  • Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools/techniques

 

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst/Functional Lead, in the insurance/reinsurance industry. 
  • Proven experience in requirement gathering, process improvement, and project management. 
  • Familiarity with insurance products, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques. 
  • Experience in working as part of large transformations utilizing AGILE Scrum methodology.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
