*Business Systems Analyst

Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Business Systems Analyst to work with the team to translate policy administration business requirements into technical specifications for application updates related to projects, enhancements, and compliance needs while working in an Agile environment supporting the design, construction, and implementation of these updates to the applications. Specific duties include: coordinate and lead activities with business owners to gather detailed requirements; monitor business decisions and manage requirements documentation and communication; use requirements management tools and techniques; support system configuration and integration testing; organize and manage multiple assignments with competing priorities and deadlines; evaluate project impact; lead analysis of requirements to determine the systems’ potential and define impact on other business units and systems; support the development team in the completion of impact assessments and validation of effort estimates; create process models based on business requirements; understand and apply delivery approaches and perform, independently, business analysis processes following Zurich Project management framework and the Zurich risk policy; and utilize Unified Modeling Language tools in creating Use Cases, Class, and Sequence Diagrams based on the product design documentation. May work remotely 60% of the time.

 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Product Consultant, or similar position translating business requirements into technical specifications. Must have 5 years of experience working with SDLC tools including JIRA, ALM, and ServiceNow. Must also have 1 year of experience with each of the following: working in a Commercial Insurance Underwriting environment; and working with Guidewire Policy Center Insurance Product. Additionally, specific experience must include: gathering detailed requirements through interviews and documentation and facilitating working sessions for approved projects and enhancements; managing requirements documentation and communication; evaluating project impact on business units and systems; creating process models based on business requirements; using requirements management tools and techniques including Use Cases, Data Matrix, and Process Flow Diagrams; applying Agile and Scrum delivery approaches; and providing subject matter expertise to others in the organization. May work remotely 60% of the time.

The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $126,755.
