Compliance Operations and Reporting Specialist

Zurich North America is currently hiring a Compliance Operations and Reporting Specialist, and this person will work in a hybrid schedule at our Schaumburg North America HQ.

 

Job Summary:

 

Provides regulatory compliance consultative services at the compliance program/enterprise level. Detects and prevents compliance issues and collaborates with business unit/strategic support unit senior management to ensure that effective internal controls are in place. Builds, promotes and maintains a culture of compliance and ethics within the business unit.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Compiles and organizes information from a variety of sources to be utilized for trending, responding to requests, and management reporting.  Information is presented in a clear and concise manner tailored for use at varying levels of the organization.
  • Prepares insightful reports to Executive management, Group Compliance, and oversight committees.
  • Develops, implements, supports and maintains local compliance frameworks within the global Zurich Compliance Program, including Compliance Risk Assessments, Issue Management and Operational Planning.
  • Responsible for the data quality and troubleshooting of Governance, Rick, Compliance (GRC) tool.

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Law or Business Degree in Related Field and 6 or more years of experience in the Financial Services area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Financial Services area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Financial Services area
    AND
  • Experience with professional writing such as company policies or other management reports.
  • Experience with evaluation, assessment, and/or implementation of internal controls.
  • Knowledge of Compliance topics such as Trade and Economic Sanctions, Anti- Money Laundering and Anti-Bribery / Anti-Corruption.

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply, as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $94,050.00 - $154,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
