ZRS - Director of Operational Performance and Data Analytics


This role will be responsible for building and maintaining Key Performance Indicators KIPs), dashboards and reports, while ensuring they are aligned with the organizations financials plans and operational priorities.  Develops and delivers insights, operational scorecards, analytic models, tools, and resources (e.g., segmentation, correlation, multiple regression, trend analysis, behavioral analysis, predictive modeling, etc.) in support of organization.  Assists with generating data-driven insights through partnership and collaboration with segments and business partners, and functional experts to drive fact-based decision making at all levels within the organization. 

 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Serves as the resident data expert, cultivates expertise on the relevant data across all internal and external sources as to the strengths, weaknesses, and quality of each so they can act as the go-to resource for choosing the right data to answer the question at hand.
  • Develop insights to drive business decision and impact of ZRS solutions, proactively engaging teams in ZRS and ZNA.
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards and reports to communicate insights to decision makers.
  • Build staffing models and KPI’s for new employee performance.
  • Supplies information, data, and reports regarding functional activities and processes.
  • Develop, enhance, and deliver Operational Scorecards and organizational insights.
  • Establish, measure and track Sales KPI’s, insights and deliver Sales Compensation tracking and performance for organization.
  • Analyze, interpret, and evaluate organizational performance, results, and trends and initiate appropriate improvement plans to improve performance.
  • Identify and measure team/segment efficiencies.
  • Monitor and measure performance, sales, and growth in new services.
  • Conduct core analyses based on research and modeling to understand and quantify impact of loss ratio, risks associated with proposed services, processes, policies, regulatory change, or other external factors (e.g. environmental, political, economic).

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 or more years of experience in Analytics, Insurance, or related field

            OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in Analytics, Insurance, or related field

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights, working with multiples teams across the organization.
  • Experience in a data-driven role, such as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar position
  • Strong knowledge of SQL/Python/R to connect to databases and extract data
  • Expert knowledge of risk exposures, controls and risk improvement best practices and methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • People management experience
  • Insurance industry certification

 

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. For additional information about our Total Rewards, click here. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $96,300.00 - $157,700. 00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
