Finance Control Analyst (Senior or Expert Level)
Zurich North America is hiring an Finance Control Analyst Senior or Expert to join our team! We are open to hiring talent in our Schaumburg HQ location.
Leader in within the Financial Controls Group which is responsible for the maintenance of the first of defense for ZNA Finance. As part of the first line of defense, the role is responsible for the establishing and maintaining Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR). Key activities include identifying and documenting key risks and control activities for a process using flowcharts or narratives, including hand-offs to upstream and downstream processes. Individual will be responsible for assessing control activities to ensure that control objectives are addressed, and underlying risks are mitigated. When ICFR issues are identified, the team will ensure that underlying issue is properly documented, an appropriate action plan is created and timely remediation of control issue.
Basic Qualifications:
Finance Control Analyst Senior:
- Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
AND - Experience using accounting principles
- General ledger or transactional experience
- Experience with General Ledger, software, financial reporting systems, Business Objects and financial query tools
OR
Finance Control Analyst Expert:
- Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
AND - Knowledge and experience using accounting principles
- General ledger and transactional experience
- Experience with General Ledger, software, financial reporting systems, Business Objects and financial query tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Insurance industry experience
- Internal audit or financial governance experience
- Project management experience
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- CPA, CIA or CPCU

Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply, as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is $80,100.00 - $199,600.00. The proposed salary range for the Finance Control Analyst Senior is $80,100.00 - $131,200.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%. For the Finance Control Analyst Expert is $121,800.00 - $199,600.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
