IT Governance Consultant


Zurich North America is hiring an Information Technology Governance Consultant to join our Information Technology team. We are open to hiring talent in our Schaumburg, IL location but will also consider talent in Overland Park, KS.


The IT Governance Consultant will:

  • Develop relationship with internal/external Audit, Risk and Compliance and ensures Sox Coordination and ensure communication within IT Services and to business partners.
  • Manage IT project governance processes across Global IT transformation projects, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes by aligning with Group governance to maximize effectiveness
  • Develop systems and processes to ensure accurate Management Information is available.
  • Apply best practice approaches within Performance & Governance scope.
  • Manage Governance projects within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Ensure service delivery reliability & process consistency for all aspects of Governance activities.
  • Manage and ensures compliance for IT supplier management processes, practices and relationships globally, through appropriate metrics.
  • Create process models based on requirements in order to determine the completeness of the information and process components.
  • Elevate governance requirements within own area of responsibility and applies adoption of requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 5 or more years of experience in the information technology area
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the information technology area
  • IT Governance experience
  • Experience with software development lifecycle process
  • MS Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; including syndicating IT topics with technical and non-technical employees.
  • Strong consulting and influencing skills
  • Experience with workplace / end user services
  • Experience with Remedy and Service Now technology
