IT Infrastructure & Operations Internship (Summer 2025) - Schaumburg

Zurich is currently looking for an Intern to support our IT Infrastructure & Operations Management team for Summer of 2025 out of our Schaumburg, IL office.

 

As an I&O Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn about a broad spectrum of technology from cloud infrastructure to end user computing and network/telecom. This intern will work under immediate supervision and perform requested tasks alongside professionals who perform these roles. Generally, this position is part of a summer program with an assigned mentor. 

 

Primary projects could include:

 

  • Supporting implementation of new user technology
  • Infrastructure financials and assisting expense management program
  • Change management and technology integration
  • ZNA communications with IT team

 

You will learn:   

        

  • Working collaboratively across IT functions in North America
  • How technology connects to users
  • Project Management
  • PowerBI
  • Communication and expectation setting and an understanding of the various roles and responsibilities of an IT organization
  • Time management and self-direction in a fast-paced environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Management Information Systems, business analytics or related field
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2025
  • Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
  • Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely

 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum cumulative current grade point average of 3.0 (current could mean last semester GPA)
  • Knowledge of Management Information Systems
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics, Systems Analysis and Design, Managerial Decision Modeling
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office: ability to analyze large amounts of data and identify trends, categories, anomalies, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Problem solving skills in customer focused environment 
  • Quick Learner
  • Collaborative
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as needed
