Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Lead Developer to be responsible for developing, defining, configuring, supporting, and auditing assigned projects. Specific duties include: assess a project's technical feasibility, as well as implementation risks; develop and implement based on Projects defined requirements and technical specifications; develop the code necessary for its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design and implementation; identify and test several IT scenarios based on the given business environment; define and optimize process to help drive improvements to meet business needs; design and develop the projects need; audit and resolve quality issues; make recommendations to prevent issues from recurring in the future: develop applications in Salesforce platform using best practices through standard configuration and custom development; and design, develop custom components, data integration, build dashboard, reports and custom report types. Option to work remotely with required travel to the Schaumburg, IL headquarters at least 2 days a week.

 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, as a Lead Consultant, Manager, Senior Software Engineer, or similar IT position. Must have 7 years of experience working with data warehouse application development using ETL Tools and database programming. Must also have 5 years of experience working with each of the following: ETL Tools, including Informatica Power Center; and Databases, including Netezza, DB2 and SQL Server. Specific experience must also include 5 years of experience with each of the following: identifying and resolving IT issues within specific business environments; providing assistance in data warehouse solutions for technical issues for clients by using domain, technology or functional know-how and expertise; supporting in information gathering on business process design, systems integration and data warehouse Architecture design; working with all aspects of product development and implementation including planning, documentation, use case creation, technical design, product configuration, defect management and reporting, and application deployment; and assessing the technical feasibility and implementation risks of projects. Additionally, must have 2 years of experience working with each of the following: BO Universe; Crystal Reports; and Web Intelligence Reports. Option to work remotely with required travel to the Schaumburg, IL headquarters at least 2 days a week.
