Marketing Consultant Internship (Summer 2025)

Zurich is currently looking for a Marketing Consultant Intern to work out of our Schaumburg, IL, office for Summer 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in Commercial Insurance with Zurich North America’s National Accounts business unit. National Accounts delivers holistic solutions to help large corporate and captive customers reduce their total cost of risk. These customers are primarily global customers, with complex risk which require solutions and multi-tier selling.

Our interns will work under immediate supervision and will perform requested tasks alongside professionals in Marketing Consultant roles. As an intern, you will be a part of a strategic marketing team developing go-to-market strategies for specific industries. Interns will be immersed in industries and business units and will contribute by developing customer journeys of contact strategies for digital communication and face-to-face events, with the goal of impacting demand generation and retention.

 
Other development opportunities include:

 

Strategy & Research:

  • Underwriter, field sales, distributor, and other discovery phone interviews
  • Business development discovery phone interviews
  • Competitor analysis of trends and provide recommendations
  • Marketing practices within and outside of Insurance industry

 

Content Strategy, SEO/SEM, Writing:

  • Presentation development
  • Social media analysis
  • Paid and organic SEO strategy and implementation
  • Create web pages, social posts, and videos

 

Product Marketing/industry vertical segmentation:

  • Digital Campaign development
  • Develop content contact journeys

 

Marketing Operations:

  • Participation and use of CMS – Content Management System
  • Engagement with DAM – Digital Asset Management System
  • Exposure to reporting for financial allocations and expense forecasting

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program and will be enrolled in the upcoming 2025 fall semester
  • Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
  • Be legally eligible to work in the U.S. indefinitely
  • Microsoft Office experience
     

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related major
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint experience
  • Presentation Skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

 

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. For additional information about our Total Rewards, Click here. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The proposed Hourly rate for this position is $21.00 - $22.00.
