Zurich is currently in the process of expanding our Contingent Workforce program team and is seeking an Operations Consultant who will support the contingent labor management function for the United States and Canada while interfacing enterprise wide. This team is structured within Business Services Management of the Operations & Technology organization. Ideally this role is to work hybrid 1-2 days a week from our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL, however, will consider candidates outside of this location to work virtually

 

Responsibilities:

 

As an Operations Consultant, you are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Engagement Managers and supporting the full lifecycle of the requisition process including requisition intake, shortlisting, sourcing management, on boarding, worker assignment management, time, and expense management, off boarding and reporting. You will also support the end-to-end Services Procurement process for executing and managing Statements of Work.

  • Support the day-to-day contingent workforce program operational tasks including:

    • The end-to-end requisition process of contingent workers by partnering with the Zurich engagement manager to get a full understanding of position requirements and effectively translating for suppliers.

    • Shortlist the candidates submitted by the supplier and assist the engagement manager through the interview, selection, and onboarding process.

    •  Assist engagement managers during all stages of the contingent labor acquisition process including requisition intake, sourcing, and candidate shortlisting and interviewing.

    • Demonstrate recruitment expertise by preparing insightful questions appropriate for the position prior to conducting an intake session with engagement managers to gather detailed job descriptions to distribute to supply base.

    • Advise engagement managers on status of requirements and monitor supplier sourcing strategies to ensure timely response.

    • Coach, manage and oversee performance of participating staffing suppliers.

    • Monitor performance against contract SLA’s, requisition aging, invoicing, time and expense entry and supplier compliance tracking.

    • Maintain and update monthly activity and performance reports

    • Provide constant interaction via face to face, email and phone with engagement managers, staffing vendors, contingent workers and other partners.

    • Assist with worker assignment management (cost center changes, extension of contract assignments etc.) to improve data integrity.

    • Ensure all SOWs/assignments are closed in the system with accurate finish reasons upon notification of completion.

    • Assist and monitor time and expense entry to ensure appropriate approvals occur by engagement managers by required deadlines

  • Lead and support projects to address strategic and operational priorities which are cross functional and highly visible

 

Basic Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations area
    AND
  • Project management experience

 

Preferred:
 

  • Experience with a Vendor Management System (e.g., Beeline)
  • Contingent Workforce Management (CWM) experience (e.g., MSP, Staffing Supplier, internal CWM program)
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from entry level to senior leaders
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships
  • Change management, process management, and negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Data analysis, analytical, and problem-solving skills

The salary range for this role is $67,100-$83,900. This is the range Zurich NA in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of the posting. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed remotely in any US state. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also bonus eligible. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable
