Zurich North America is currently hiring a Segment Assistant to support the Zurich Resilience Solutions/Risk Engineering Department.  We are open to hiring talent to work hybrid (minimum of 3 days a week in the office or as needed) at our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

 

In this role you will provide administration support to Risk Engineering teams and customers, while maintaining standards of excellence in customer service.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant systems, products, processes, and procedures

  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture

  • Monitor and manage personal workload using excellent organizational skills

  • Contact appropriate colleagues and associates for missing data, policy validation, corrections, updates, and cancellations.

  • Enter high volume of data with strong attention to detail into the relevant systems

  • Achieve quantitative targets

  • Carry out tasks, such as the preparation of documentation to support implementation of projects to time and quality standards.

  • Identify and comply with the main principles relevant to legal and regulatory controls that govern standard work practices.

  • Monitor business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Handle complex customer, distributor, broker, or colleague queries or service requests using technical knowledge to provide information to deliver customer satisfaction in line with service standards.

  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues referred from other functions of the business, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service is extended to all internal clients.

  • Deploy a wide range of knowledge of business propositions and various servicing platforms to enable the provision of a first-class service internally and externally, and act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience where appropriate.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative Support area

OR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and No prior experience required in the Administrative Support area

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Insurance Industry knowledge a plus

  • Intermediate level of problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability and willingness for team collaboration

  • Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills

  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work daily

  • Take action to manage own personal development and encourage others to do the same

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed hourly rate for this position is $22.02 - $30.24, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 5%.
