Supplier Compliance Operations Specialist

Zurich is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supplier Compliance Operations Specialist to help manage and oversee our day-to-day third-party governance processes. This role will support contract owners in managing third-party risks and ensuring compliance with Zurich’s risk policies. Additionally, the Operations Consultant Supplier Compliance will assist in the daily operations of our third-party workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations, risk management, compliance, and supplier management. 

Responsibilities: 
•    Develop and implement processes to effectively govern third-party relationships. 
•    Ensure contract owners are managing their third parties in compliance with the Zurich risk policies and regulatory requirements. 
•    Conduct regular reviews and assessments with contract owners to identify and mitigate third-party risks. 
•    Maintain a comprehensive inventory of third parties and their compliance status. 
•    Assist contract owners in identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with third-party relationships. 
•    Support contract owners with the development of risk mitigation strategies and action plans ensuring third parties are adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. 
•    Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management activities and controls. 
•    Develop and deliver training programs for contract owners on compliance and risk management best practices. 
•    Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance. 
•    Provide support for the third-party contingent workforce. 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve efficiency. 

 

Basic Qualifications: 
•    Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations areas,

OR 
•    High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations areas,

OR  
•    Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associates Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations areas,

AND 
•    Project management experience 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
•    Data analysis, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and risk management software 
•    Certification in risk management or compliance (e.g., CRISC, CISA, CISM)
