Talent Learning Design Associate

Zurich North America is hiring an Talent Learning Design Associate to join our Human Resources team! We are open to hiring talent in the following location: Schaumburg.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

  • Designs and develops learning solutions across a variety of topics such as insurance knowledge, workflows/processes, technical systems, professional and management development.
  • Works in collaboration with Program Managers and Subject Matter Experts to design and develop instructionally sound learning material to address specific tactical needs within the organization or defined target objectives.
  • Participates in the following phases of the learning solution lifecycle: analysis, design, development and evaluation.
  • Assesses the training and development needs of customers, provides technical and instructional design advice, and develops training interventions that support professional development 
  • Creates measurable learning objectives and goals. Tracks the impact of training initiatives to determine success outcomes. Supports designing evaluation approaches for programs and learning solutions. 
  • Maintains flexibility and adjusts project plans as needed to meet agreed upon learning objectives. 
  • Determines the best method for delivery of training to learners and follows trends in the training field in order to provide the best and latest techniques. 
  • Updates and revises training materials and resets priorities and the use of various resources to meet changing needs and goals. 
  • Develops material for a variety of delivery methods. 
  • Supports facilitation and delivery of learning as needed. 
  • Co-ownership of established learning programs to sustain and improve learner experience. 
  • Supports implementation of programs and continuous improvement for established programs. 
  • Engaged in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts including establishing best practices, resources, and process around leveraging learning tools. 

 

Business Accountabilities:

 

  • Independently collate and analyze data using per-determined tools, methods and formats to provide stakeholders and HRBPs with the information required to evaluate impact of selected learning solutions. 
  • Supports the execution of segment/ function/ BD people strategies by providing operational HR management to ensure 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Curriculum Design area 
    OR 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Curriculum Design area 

 
Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • Strong sound instructional design practices and principles for various modalities and delivery methods 
  • Strong technical writing and editing skills 
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity in the design of training methodologies and materials 
  • Strong knowledge of Teams meeting tools 
  • Strong project management and time management skills 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills 
  • Strong working knowledge of  development tools such as Articulate Suite (Storyline / Rise), Camtasia, VYOND, Adobe, SharePoint 
  • Experience in financial services/insurance environment 
  • Experience consulting with business partners or clients 
  • Experience in meeting and learning facilitation 
  • Knowledge of the global learning and development marketplace, consultants and providers of L&D solutions 

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $71,100.00 - $116,500.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
