Broker and Business Development Manager

The Opportunity:

 

Are you ready to join a leading global insurer in Singapore? Zurich is renowned for its distinguished, multi-line proposition for corporate and commercial clients. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Distribution Manager to manage and strengthen our key broker relationships in Singapore. As an integral part of the Customer, Distribution, and Market Management team, you will lead the execution of our growth strategy within the Singapore insurance broking community.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Develop a comprehensive overview of Zurich’s broker relationships, identifying key strengths and areas for growth.
  • Facilitate structured access to senior broking leaders through regular business review meetings, broker engagement forums, and market events.
  • Effectively manage broker engagement for both renewal and new business pipelines across key lines of business and countries.
  • Lead specific growth initiatives with select broking partners in alignment with Zurich’s strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting colleagues to ensure clear and timely communication regarding Zurich’s propositions, appetite, and underwriting strategies.
  • Oversee the delivery of broker agreements, including regular portfolio analysis and business reviews.
  • Maintain and deliver broker dashboards to relevant internal stakeholders, enabling strategic assessment of evolving broker relationships.

 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders internally and externally, including at the C-level.
  • Preferred: Previous market-facing/distribution experience.
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of commercial insurance business and products.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of insurance customer and distribution dynamics in the region.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry in Taiwan and Thailand.
