Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS) was launched in 2021 to support our commercial customers to enhance resilience ​in a rapidly changing world. We do this ​by offering risk prevention and mitigation services ​to proactively manage ​complex risks. One of these services is Zurich’s Climate & Sustainability Solutions (C&SS), provided by ZRS’ team of specialists to help both customers and our business partners analyse and understand natural hazards- and climate change-related physical and operational risks, with the goal of developing risk management response measures

 

The Opportunity

 

We are looking for a dynamic and results driven individual to join our team – based in Singapore, reporting to APAC Head of Climate Resilience and Sustainability Solution, to develop and grow our climate resilience services regionally.

 

The successful candidate will have experience working in a consultancy environment and has a passion to support organisations to develop their climate change resilience and ESG plans.  Additional responsibilities will include leading development and sales of our new digital climate risk platform.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Take ownership for developing the local distribution strategy, and of our Climate Resilience proposition in collaboration with the Global C&SS team

  • Ensure the defined processes are followed in customer discussions (from first contact to follow ups to delivery and to renewal)

  • Monitor financial performance of the team, incl. pipeline development

  • Be active in the external market – gradually position self as thought leader to drive commercial success

  • Monitor market trends, e.g. sustainability regulatory developments and requirements, as well as natural hazards-driven loss trends to develop the sales pipeline

  • Work closely with our global commercial teams to target and approach prospect clients.

  • Deliver growth and generate business opportunities in the C&SS Vertical

  • Work with our existing (insurance) Clients to understand their business needs and create trusted relationships

  • Demonstrate strong team working ability to ensure the business achieves defined goals and targets

  • Engage with prospects and articulate our product in an effective manner

  • To support in the deployment of all propositions related to C&SS Vertical, actively manage pipeline of new solutions, and ensure success.

  • Oversee ongoing pricing and margin management in support of our strategy.

  • Deliver market insight (competitor analysis, developments in regional sustainability regulatory requirements, market trends, loss trends, etc.) and coordinate market intelligence collection in the local markets in a structured manner to maintain & refresh existing solutions and support in the generation of new proposition ideas.

  • Drive marketing activities to achieve growth strategy

Your Skills and Experience

 

  •  A strong commercial business development background with a proven track record of growth

  •  Proven ability to generate and maintain a sales pipeline

  •  Have experience of both short & long sales cycles

And what will really make you stand out is if you have:

  • Strong experience in the sustainability sector, and ESG requirements.

  • Knowledge of risk management and loss prevention practices for Climate Change and/or Natural Hazards,

  • Actively involved in scaling up propositions/products.
