Zurich Cover More is seeking a Travel Insurance Business Analyst, Americas to join our Group in North American, Stevens Point, WI.
In this role, the Business Analyst supports the Travel business and provides support to the travel program of Work in the Americas region. This person will identify, assess, research, and resolve complex issues related to needs of the Americas region program of work. The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, understanding, and translating business need into business requirements user stories. They will participate in the elicitation and documentation of business requirements. They will collaborate with stakeholders and other IT members to ensure alignment of business need verses technical solution.
The Business Analyst role includes but is not limited to:
- Elicit, document, and analyze required information and data as it is introduced by the stakeholders.
- Prepare requirements documentation/user stories, document current and proposed business processes, and recommendations related to proposed requests.
- Receive and accurately apply comments and feedback to stakeholder groups
- Understand and consistently apply the necessary project standards and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and present user stories for refinement and actively participate in all agile ceremonies.
- Follow all Agile standards.
- Prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Consistently deliver high-quality service and value to stakeholders and team members.
- Proactively identify and report on risks, issues, and dependencies for each project.
- Understand and identify areas of opportunity and improvement within AIG Travel’s strategic direction, organizational structure, business processes, and initiative requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing and solving business problems.
- Be self-empowered and know when to escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
- Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills as well as relationship management skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and work with project team members and stakeholders located globally to ensure success of project.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet delivery deadlines.
- Keep up to date on current technology best practices and regulatory trends.
- Knowledge and experience in Agile and Agile ceremonies.
- Experience in creating user stories.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other technical degree preferred.
- Experience working in a multinational company with on and offshore resources
- Familiarity with complex integrated travel sales, payment and claims systems
- Knowledge of travel industry
- Knowledge of API/JSON tools
