Liability Claims Handler, Sweden

Zurich is one of the most specialized insurance companies within non-life insurance for local and international business in the Nordic market. Our Nordic Claims department works with a wide range of claims within different Lines of Business for Customers in the Nordics as well as in the rest of the world. We are now looking for an outgoing and positive person to join our Claims department as a Liability Claims Handler, located in our hybrid office in Stockholm.

In your role as Claims Handler you will independently handle all kinds of liability claims, both domestic and international, in the most effective, proactive and efficient way whilst delivering excellent claims service. Communication with stakeholders, such as customers, brokers, claimants, experts, underwriters and claim colleagues is an important part of the job. In this role you will have regular contact with our regional and global referral points.

You will also evaluate and settle third-party bodily injury claims. From a Swedish perspective you will have the knowledge to determine liability as such, along with the expertise to assess the correct compensation. This includes questions such as loss of income, pain and suffering, permanent injury and annuities.

Qualifications and skills:

• An academic degree in law and/or previous experience as a Liability Claims Handler.
• Experience of and expertise in handling bodily injury claim, including the assessment of compensation.
• Several years of relevant experience, as noted above. Either working for an insurance company or towards insurance companies through a law firm, loss adjusting company or similar. 
• Excellent technical knowledge along the claims handling core processes, along with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple claims and priorities effectively
• Experience of working with international claims handling and major losses is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English are required.
