We are now looking for a new colleague to join our Underwriting Liability Team, working from our Swedish office in Stockholm.

Underwriter Liability, Sweden

Zurich is one of the most specialized insurance companies within non-life insurance for local and international business in the Nordic market. We are now looking for an analytical, customer focused and market driven person to join our Underwriting team in Stockholm as Market Facing Underwriter Liability.

As an underwriter, you will be responsible for your own portfolio and customers with assignments such as premium setting, quotations, negotiations and measuring exposure and analyzing risk. You will underwrite new and renewal business and build relationships in support of customer/business acquisition and retention. You will also proactively contribute ideas and work for the development of new or enhanced propositions based on technical, customer and distributor insights. As well as proactively seek new business opportunities and work as a subject matter expert.

Qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience as a Liability Underwriter
• Good understanding in corporate insurance
• Preferably an academic degree in Law, Business Administration, or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish are required

Skills and competencies:

• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Understanding of the underwriting process for specific and standard insurance products
• Knowledge of risk analysis and selection, pricing for new business and renewals
• Good negotiation skills and sales oriented
• Strong presentation skills and a solutions and service orientation
• Good technical knowledge along the underwriting core processes
• High level of risk- and business awareness

As a person, you are a team player and an analytical thinker. You have a strong business and customer focus, and interest in customer relationships and negotiation. You are fast moving and flexible. You like working independently but with good abilities to co-operate with both customers and colleagues.
