The opportunity: 

 

The UK DevOps team is part of the UK Operations and IT function which drives technology delivery and change across the UK business.  The DevOps team currently consists of a Mendix Low-code, Salesforce development and operations capability, SmartComm document generation and a MuleSoft Centre of Excellence (CoE) API team.  The DevOps team has fully embraced new ways of working including Agile, DevOps practices, cloud-first, and CI/CD.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the emerging MuleSoft API team as a MuleSoft Lead Developer.  You will be a seasoned MuleSoft professional with a proven track record of people and stakeholder management and meet the requirements of multiple lines of business with the ability to lead a team from discovery to delivery. You will report to the MuleSoft Platform Lead

What are we looking for?

 

  • Hands on experience in Mule (incl. v4) including either/both on-premise and CloudHub runtimes.
  • A self-starter with experience in managing, leading and coaching a high performing team of developers.
  • Proven track record of working with stakeholders in large, complex organizations, demonstrating a great ability to navigate competing sets of priorities and challenges.
  • Great interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in developing APIs using MuleSoft within Agile delivery teams.
  • Knowledge of REST design principles and API design/architecture best practices.
  • Knowledge and proven experience of three-layer integration architecture principles.
  • Knowledge of OAS and/or RAML, XML and JSON.
  • Knowledge of API security standards, best practices and the ability to apply them.
  • Experience in CI/CD practices using Bamboo (or similar).
  • Experience in using cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Proven unit testing skills using the MUnit framework.
  • Knowledge in Linux and Windows Powershell highly preferred
  • MuleSoft Development Certification preferred
