Senior Technical Project Manager

Your role


In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of technical projects, from inception, through delivery and to transition into operations.

You will be accountable for the demand, proposal, design, build and transition to operations of technology driven technical projects in close collaboration with Platform/Service Management, Enterprise Architecture and central IT Services departments.


As a Senior Technical Project Manager your main responsibilities will  involve


  • Proactively engage with Platform and Service management, Project Management office, Enterprise Architecture to materialize new ideas into projects and to contribute in driving more business through leveraging Business Intelligence & Analytics technologies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various business partners/project stakeholders as well as IT Services and Global functions.
  • Understand internal and external customers objectives to define the appropriate engagement model and prepare the implementation proposal.
  • Manage end-to-end solution delivery from idea formulation to hand-over to operations.
  • Provide full transparency regarding the project execution in terms of budget, timelines, scope, resources, quality status
  • Contribute to the project governance process for technical, infrastructure and integration matters with the objective to maximize solutions delivery, quality and project execution


Your Skills and Experience


As a Senior Technical Project Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:


  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent,
  • 10+ years of experience in IT
    • project and/or programme management with proven achievement records delivery of complex, multilocation and matrix managed, large scale projects
    • service integration and service transition in complex organisations
  • 5 years of relevant BI and Analytics software and tools experience an advantage (SAP BW, MSSQL, IBM DB2, Informatica, Business Objects, PowerBI…)
  • Experience with migrations to Public Cloud and HyperScalers deployment models an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of ITIL Framework, IT infrastructure, Database systems and IT management tools,
  • Effective communication, presentation and relationship management skills at

different levels in a multicultural environment,

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Primary work location is Barcelona.
