Compliance Expert Investment Compliance - temporary parental leave cover for 8 months - 80-100%
This is a great opportunity to join Group Compliance in the Investment Compliance team in a temporary role that will provide expert support and challenge to Group Investment Management in assigned areas and projects.
The Investments Compliance team operates as a centralized coverage model (with strong regional collaboration), aligning with Group Investment Management’s vertically integrated, global organization. This position will report directly to the Head Investment Compliance and will interact with various business partners from Group Investment Management and with members of central, regional and local Compliance teams.
The role is for the duration of 8 months, from April 1 to November 30, 2025. Location is flexible anywhere in EMEA.
What you will do
As Compliance Expert Investment Compliance, your main responsibilities will involve:
- Providing high-quality Compliance assurance around Investment Management processes and controls to assist Investment Management in identifying, managing and mitigating risks, and supporting the business in closing agreed action plans.
- Advising the business with respect to adoption and implementation of regulations and Group Compliance policies.
- Providing expert day-to-day compliance advice to Investment Management in respect of assigned compliance risks.
- Assist in executing compliance core processes, such as the annual compliance risk assessment, annual planning, monthly and quarterly reporting.
What you bring
- As Compliance Expert Investment Compliance, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- University degree, preferably a Master’s degree, or equivalent in compliance, legal, risk management, business administration or related subject.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience in a compliance, audit, assurance, legal or risk function, ideally in financial services and in a multi-national organization.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in performing assurance/audit activities, analyzing risks and controls, assessing when controls are not designed or operating effectively, and making appropriate recommendations.
- Excellent command of standard software including use of artificial intelligence tools. Skills in data analytics and data visualization are a definite plus.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to being a team player.
- A proactive, autonomous and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to develop creative solutions.
- Ability to handle numerous and competing tasks and priorities, and to be resourceful and composed under pressure, coupled with excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential; other languages (Spanish, German) desirable
