Guidewire ClaimCenter SME/Developer (m/w/d) 80-100%

The P&C Claims Team is responsible for all the Non-Life Claims applications of Zurich Switzerland.  

 

To actively support that team, we are looking for an experienced Guidewire InsuranceSuite Developer with very good technical know-how. Within this role, you will be able to make a decisive impact within the framework of sustainable digitalization and support us significantly on this ongoing path of transformation in the claims area. 

You can expect an agile development environment with state-of-the-art technologies. You will assume technical co-responsibility for the development and operations of an application and act as a reference point for our internal customers. You will work as a member of an agile team (SAFe, Scrum). 

 

 

What you will do

 

  • 2nd and 3rd level support of the Guidewire ClaimCenter 
  • Collaboration in complex and exciting development tasks for insurance products in the team including the development of corresponding Features and Stories 
  • Specifications of customized customer solutions in collaboration with the business and IT departments 
  • Analyze business requirements, parameterize/configure them within Guidewire software with a focus on ClaimCenter and integration with front-end and back-end systems 
  • Conducting functional and technical reviews for quality assurance 
  • Ensure uninterrupted operations 
  • Support CI/CD stack configuration and maintenance 
  • Supervise production deployments and business critical activities (ie Financial closing) 

 

 

What you bring

 

 

  • Experience in the implementation of (business) requirements by means of application parameterization/configuration 
  • Experience in agile application development within a development team 
  • Good knowledge of XML, JSON, JavaScript/JAVA as well as SQL is required 
  • Guidewire certification with specific knowledge of Gosu and the GW data model is a plus 
  • Understanding of agile frameworks (specifically SCRUM or SAFe are an advantage) 
  • Experience in at least one full CI/CD stack implementation 
  • Understanding of information carried by monitoring metrics (Dynatrace, Appdynamics, Prometheus/Grafana,…) and logs (ELK, Splunk,…) 
  • You work independently, are solution-oriented and have a high level of quality awareness as well as a structured approach 
  • You must have a very good command of written and spoken English. German would be an advantage
