Our team is part of Group Technology and Operations and operates a number of systems for Real Estate, Wealth Management and Investment Management Operations. The various systems are hosted as SaaS or PaaS model and the team is responsible for daily operations and is also involved in various projects. 

 

The IT Operational Engineer for Applications in Investment Management is responsible to ensure the smooth operation, reliability, and performance of these applications, as well as implementing enhancements and troubleshooting issues. The candidate will work closely with the stakeholder teams to understand their needs and provide technical solutions that support the business goals.


What you will do

 

  • Daily operations (1st & 2nd level) of the systems in scope, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application functionality, performance, and connectivity. 

  • Coordinate with software vendors and various IT teams in the organizations for advanced troubleshooting and fixing of issues. 

  • Support regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain application security and performance. 

  • Manage application configurations, including user access and permissions.

  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures. 

  • Work closely with business teams to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the effective use of investment applications. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding system status, issues, and resolutions. 

  • Participate in incident response and problem management processes to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.

  • Support all administrative tasks required to enable operations if the systems such as ensuring that documentations, Sharepoints etc are managed.

  • Participate in various IT projects including new implementations, migrations, and upgrades. Contribute to project planning, execution, and post-implementation support.

  • Ensure applications are compliant with internal and external security standards and regulations. Support compliance related activities such as supporting internal & external audits, manage internal controls and ensuring all our activities are compliant and provide respective evidence.


What you bring

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT operations, with a focus on application support and maintenance. Experience in the financial services or investment management industry is desirable.

  • Proficiency in Cloud based SaaS and PaaS operating models.

  • Knowledge of network protocols, security practices, and ITIL framework.

  • Experience with DevOps tools.

  • Familiarity with investment management applications and tools would be an add-on.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Reliability and good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

  • German and English proficiency.
