Project Manager - Sustainability for Commercial Insurance & Underwriting - 2 year contract 80-100%

Are you an experienced project manager looking to for an opportunity to learn more about the world of insurance and sustainability? We are looking for a self-directed talent to support our small central specialist team in driving the implementation of sustainability across our Commercial Insurance and Underwriting community globally. 

 

What you will do

 

  • Specifically, you will develop a programme plan and project manage the delivery of multiple concurrent initiatives and deliverables underway in the team, coordinating with other teams within UW, Communications, IT or Finance as appropriate. The projects further develop our capabilities to support our customers to achieve their net zero ambitions, ensure we continue to manage sustainability risk and opportunities effectively as a business and meet the evolving reporting obligations. 

  • You will work with the team and leverage their expertise, understand the requirements & deadlines of other stakeholders and regulation, and play a key role in identifying resources and deliverables needed, and ensuring our requirements are implemented in supporting tools and infrastructure. 

  • You will work with the team to ensure appropriate timelines and milestones are in place for communications, training and change management to support successful implementation. In addition to ensuring relevant process documentation for risk management, audit and assurance is in place along all key milestones.

  • This role provides the opportunity to develop your understanding of sustainability and how this is relevant for us and our customers. As part of a dynamic team in a fast-evolving area, there is ample opportunity to work with subject matter experts in sustainability and across Underwriting to contribute, including researching emerging sustainability topics, contributing to internal learning materials and external articles, building and maintaining an overview of internal and external talking points and positions to leverage across the organization and ensure aligned external messaging. 


What you will bring

 

  • Relevant experience in managing multiple concurrent projects to successful delivery with demonstrated achievements in terms of change management and adoption 

  • Strong interest or knowledge in underwriting & sustainability

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Positive, collaborative approach with the drive to contribute together with a highly productive team
