Risk Business Transformation and User Experience (UX) Lead 80-100%

Group Risk Management is embarking on a multi-year program to redesign components of its GRC application, IBM OpenPages. As a senior member of the Group Risk Transformation & Operations Team and workstream lead, the Risk Transformation Change and User Experience Lead will play a pivotal role in driving the successful adoption and utilization of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application within the organization. This role will focus on ensuring robust change management, enhancing user experience, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of risk management, change management methodologies, and user experience design principles.

 

What you will do

 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Lead Business Transformation workstream and team in the GRC Transformation Project (a multiyear and multi-phase project) which includes: change management, communication strategy, local risk team readiness and end user training. Set up the workstream scope, milestones and charter.  

 

Change Management: 

 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of the GRC application.

  • Identify and manage key stakeholders (local and central risk management teams), and work together with Risk communications partner on communication and messaging to ensure their engagement and support.

  • Work with the local risk teams and community of local risk impact leads to conduct impact assessments and readiness evaluations to prepare the organization for change. 

  • Design and deliver training programs and materials to ensure users are proficient in using the GRC application.

  • Establish an effective program tracking mechanism for local risk team readiness

 

User Experience (UX) Design:

 

  • Lead user research activities to understand the needs, behaviours, and pain points of end-users (include risk managers and 1st line risk and control owners)

  • Participate in GRC design workshops to be able to articulate the processes into an end user experience that aligns with our approach to enterprise risk management and risk owner accountability and simplification

  • Work closely with the Risk Information Solutions team to adapt the solution design into an user friendly experience

  • Deploy UX tools (wireframes, prototypes, and user interface specifications) to guide the development of the GRC application

  • Conduct usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on the design

  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices within the project

 

What you bring

 

As the Risk Transformation change and user experience lead in Group Risk Transformation and Operations your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in change management, user experience design, or risk management, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.

  • Proven experience in leading change initiatives and managing large-scale projects.

  • Strong understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks and applications.

  • Proficiency in user experience design tools and methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strategic thinking, problem solving, collaboration and teamwork

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
