The Zurich Global Employee Benefits Solutions team help multinational companies find the right financing solutions for their global employee benefit plans. From multinational pooling and captive services to innovative global underwriting programs, we offer multinational companies a holistic approach to risk management and financing solutions, maximizing the value of their global employee benefit plans.

 

The role

 

As a senior underwriter, you will be working in an exciting international environment, based in either Zurich or London. You will be the primary point of contact for any technical related topics in relation to our corporate customers and you will be handling complex new and renewal cases as part of a team of Life, Disability, Accident and Group Medical underwriters. 

 

What you will do

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Using a disciplined approach to risk assessment of new and renewal business of your own portfolio of customers.
  • Collaborating with our sales colleagues to help acquire new corporate customers.
  • Working closely with the account managers and the network partners to win and to retain the business in the best interest of ZGEBS and the Customer.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of tools and processes, supporting the underwriting area.
  • Contributing to the ongoing performance management of the book of business.

 

What you bring
 

  • Practical experience in the pricing and underwriting of Group Life and/or Medical Insurance schemes
  • Minimum of 5 years Employee Benefits insurance or relevant industry experience
  • A team player, who enjoys working in a dynamic and multi-cultural organisation
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills 
  • Experience of dealing in International benefits would be an advantage 
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (including Word, PowerPoint; Excel)
  • Good English communication skills. At ease in discussing and communicating about technical topics to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly understand and make use of new technical information in relation to risk assessment
  • Ability to understand, interpret and translate customer requirements into deliverables
