Senior Pricing Actuary - Retail Pricing Excellence, 80-100%
What you will do
-
You will report to the RPE lead and be part of the retail pricing transformation hub team and support the introduction of Retail Pricing Excellence globally.

This includes the implementation of a state-of-the-art retail pricing system to enhance market competitiveness and improve our profitability, customer retention, and product density.

You will work on improving existing pricing processes and establishing new pricing processes based on modern infrastructure such as Data Lake and a flexible rating engine.

Focus mostly on physical distribution channels (agents & brokers, partially partnerships)

The implementation follows a predefined Pricing Excellence Framework, granting you broad discretion – initially for the private customer segments Motor & Non-Motor, subsequently for SME in a second phase.

A small transformation team consisting of pricing actuaries & data scientists will support you in the implementation. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to coach and support junior colleagues.

The implementation will be in collaboration with the existing local BU pricing teams and regional pricing hubs. Part of the program is also to empower these teams to execute the new methods.

You will work closely with underwriting, product development & business development.

You will lead specific Research & Development topics related to RPE which aim to create “off-the-shelf” solutions which BUs can adapt to their local markets.
What you bring
-
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related fields

Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with a globally recognized actuarial association

Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail pricing within non-life insurance

Good overview of state-of-the-art pricing methods in retail

Proficiency in using WTW pricing software (Emblem, Radar, Radar Live)

Proficiency in using databricks and Python

Highly organized, result-oriented, and capable of working and leading on multiple projects simultaneously

Proficiency in project management and ideally experience in leading pricing implementation projects

Ability to convey complex issues to non-experts and maintain direction despite resistance

Strong interpersonal skills & customer service abilities with excellent communication skills (German & English, both written and spoken, fluency in additional languages is desirable)

Ability to work independently and in a team, and to manage various stakeholders within the company

Willingness to travel is required to support the international business units also partly locally on-site.
