Insurance Administrator (International business)
Zurich Insurance Benelux is currently looking for an insurance administrator to join the International-focused Underwriting Services Department in Belgium. In this position you play a key role in our business operations, where you’ll provide support to a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally. Our Underwriting department, Zurich Operations, and our own international Zurich network, to name a few.
This is a fulltime hybrid position where you will be working from our office in Zaventem, Belgium.
Key accountabilities
Wondering what that looks like on a day-to-day basis? When the Underwriting department finalizes an international program deal, you’re the one to handle the administrative processing. This involves issuing insurance policies not only in BeLux but also in other countries. You coordinate and send instructions to relevant countries, ensuring correct local policies are issued. This means that you’ll get to liaise with international stakeholders, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and tackle multiplex administrative processes. Some of your tasks will include the following:
- Administrate proper, timely and end-to end administration of all insurance policies issued worldwide
- Data collection and preparation of policy documents (for new business and business renewal)
- Compiling information and reports for both internal and external customers.
- Participation in various IT projects depending on business
- Coordinate a set of international insurance programs working together with internal and external stakeholders
- Instruct the international network with necessary information to issue local policies being part of a large international insurance program within agreed timeframe and quality
- Review and process policy changes, and update entries to policies
What are we looking for?
- Junior college (“graduaat/graduat”) or equivalent
- Knowledge of / Experience in insurance administration is a big plus, but not necessary.
- IT minded: ability to adopt new systems easily and good knowledge of MS Office
- Strong communicator and fluent/native in English and/or Dutch. Understanding of the second national language is preferable.
- Service-minded and pro-active attitude
