Zurich Insurance Benelux is currently looking for someone to join our Underwriting Service Department at our office in Zaventem. In this role you will provide administrative support to various departments, such as the Underwriters department, the Zurich network and Operations. You will therefore work in close cooperation with several internal and external stakeholders. As an Underwriting Service Specialist, you are a key component of our business operations and  in contributing to our goal to deliver outstanding service to our large domestic clients.

 

This is a hybrid position based out of our office in Zaventem, Belgium. It is possible to do this position either fulltime or parttime.

 

Key accountabilities

Whenever a new insurance deal is closed by our Property underwriting department, that’s where you come in to take care of the administrative processing. Doing this timely and accurately is critical to ensure the service satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders.

Some of your tasks include:

  • Entering the correct policy and client information in our custom-built booking and policy system
  • Creating & processing invoices
  • Data collection and preparation of insurance policies
  • Occasionally creating and issuing insurance policies 
  • Maintain exposure data and policy information during policy period 
  • Being able to service all lines of business that Zurich Benelux is active in
  • Constantly being on the lookout for areas of improvement to optimize our ways of working
  • Participating in initiatives and projects related to IT systems and process improvements. 

 

What are we looking for? 

  • Graduaat or equivalent/higher education
  • Experience in insurance administration is a plus 
  • Fluent in Dutch and preferably French, with excellent knowledge of English
  • IT minded: ability to adopt new systems easily and good knowledge of Microsoft Office 
  • Service-minded and pro-active attitude, always on the lookout for improvements
  • Stress-resistant and not afraid of working with deadlines
