Procurement Analyst

We have a Procurement Analyst position open where you would be responsible for overseeing the relationships and interactions between Zurich Benelux and its vendors, with a significant focus on administrative tasks. This role involves evaluating and selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that vendors meet the company's standards and requirements. The role handles the administrative aspects of vendor management, including maintaining detailed records, processing supplier assessments and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. They monitor vendor performance, manage risk, resolve any issues that arise, and ensure adherence to contractual terms. Additionally, they work to foster strong internal and external partnerships, drive cost savings, and enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement process.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in either Belgium or the Netherlands, with regular travel between our offices in Brussels and The Hague.
What you will be doing:
- Conduct regular vendor regulatory audits and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare and submit regulatory compliance reports.
- Ensure vendors and internal vendor records adhere to industry regulations, guidelines, and company policies.
- Identify and evaluate potential vendors, conducting thorough due diligence to ensure alignment with our company's standards and requirements.
- Track and analyze vendor performance data to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential risks
- Provide guidance and support to business units on vendor selection and management best practices.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure optimal performance and service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define vendor requirements, evaluate potential vendors and resolve vendor-related issues.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends affecting vendor management & outsourcing.
- Identify cost savings and rationalize existing spend/supplier base
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and flexibility within the vendor management function.
What we are looking for:
- You are fluent in English and at least Dutch and/or French.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, insurance, finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 year proven experience in vendor management and/or procurement processes
- Proficiency in using vendor management tools and software.
- Strong analytical abilities with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in the insurance sector is a plus.
- A strong focus on continuous improvement, adaptability, and flexibility within the function will be highly beneficial to succeed in this role.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities simultaneously
- Prior project management experience will be highly advantageous.
- Proactive attitude and an exceptional problem-solving abilities.
