Zurich Insurance is currently looking for a (senior) Accident & Health Underwriter. Are you a team player and do you have the commercial skillset and experience it takes? If you are strongly customer focused and have an interest in risk analyses, we have the job for you! 

You will work from the office in Zaventem, Belgium.

Key Accountabilities 
 

As (senior) Underwriter Accident & Health you become a member of a growing team with ambitious growth plans in both Belgium as The Netherlands. You are responsible for the underwriting and sales process for the domestic Belgium market.

Your responsibilities are:

• Independent development of the Belgium market for Accident & Health. With a focus on the domestic market (Business travel, Group accident, Wegas and SVI) and affinities..
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities and serve as key contact for assigned target accounts and brokers
• Identify new product opportunities and help co-develop these.
• Provide an effective, timely and efficient account management service to partners and brokers
• Monitor underwriting processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement
• Actively cross- and up sell on accounts across A&H and other Lines of Business
• Comply with key regulatory and risk management responsibilities
• Assist the line of business manager in producing reports or completing specific projects, as required
• Maintain a flexible approach and adapt rapidly to changing work environments
• Be proactive and self-motivated

Requirements/Profile 

• Motivated self-starter with relevant experience in the broader insurance sector (minimum of 4 years), experience within A&H is a must.
• Proven track record in a commercial role within A&H
• Transparent communicator, fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
• Creative to find new propositions and concepts and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking and structured way of working
• Capable to work both in a team as well as independent
• Team player and individual contributor
• Excellent admin and processing skills
• Pro-active and self-motivated
