We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, driven, positive person to take on the role as Third Party Manager. You'll be responsible for the selection of vendors, conducting due diligence, assessing risks, onboarding, and overseeing end-to-end management of vendors/third-parties. Ensuring the benefits are delivered in a cost-effective, compliant, and efficient manner in addition that the third-party providers meets our company's standards and expectations in terms of quality and reliability.

 

This is a critical role in supporting our growth strategy, including the newly developing Affinity segment.

The role is a full-time hybrid position. You'll have the flexibility to work from either our office in The Hague (Netherlands) or Zaventem (Belgium), as part of the dynamic Operations Team.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

The Third Party Manager is responsible for the external supplier selection, the diligence process, risk assessment and onboarding of the vendor/third party. Ensuring the benefits are delivered in a cost-effective, compliant, and efficient manner. Ensuring that the third-party providers meet the company's standards and expectations in terms of quality and reliability. This role also manages the relationship between Zurich and the vendors/third parties.

  • Define the third parties’ requirements with internal stakeholders
  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors/third parties, conducting thorough due diligence to ensure alignment with Zurich policy and guidelines.
  • Identify and evaluate the risks and opportunities associated with the vendor/third-party relationships and provide recommendations for mitigation and improvement.
  • Negotiate and contract/agreement with vendor/third party
  • Lead the onboarding of new vendors/third parties and coordinate with the internal stakeholders
  • Organize regular audits and reviews of the vendors/third parties, using internal and external resources are timely conducted
  • Manage the communication and escalation of issues and incidents related to the vendors/third parties and ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the internal stakeholders and the vendors/third parties, and act as the primary point of contact for any queries or concerns.
  • Monitor, analyze and report vendors/third parties performance and quality to identify trends and areas of improvement
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively
  • Ensure key vendor’/third party’s processes are fully documented
  • Monitor and manage internal and external third-party compliance controls.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and insurance industry trends affecting vendor management & outsourcing.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in third party/vendor management in the Insurance sector
  • Good level of understanding of the Insurance Underwriting, Policy administration and claims handling is a must
  • Experienced in operating in international environment
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced in working with cross functional teams
  • Proactive attitude and an exceptional problem-solving ability.
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
  • Languages: English is required, Dutch and/or French is a plus
  • Willingness to travel (if required)
